In Cold Blood

I very very very rarely read non-fiction. I hate reading about other people's pain and dysfunction. I have enough of my own to deal with :) My friend Alison INSISTED that I read this book. She may have even threatened me. She swore to me it was just like 48 hours mystery (which is a show we love to watch). I was surprised at how good it was. Crime is crazy, that is for sure. Glad I read it, but I am going back to my previous motto of NO non-fiction.

Garden Spells

Garden Spells was recommended by my friend Jill and I am so happy that I listened to her. I loved this book! I'm usually not a fan of Southern Fiction. I find it so dull. This book however, was not like that at all. It was full of magic and mystery. I love magic! This is an author that is definitly going on my "list".

A Little Bit Of........

SNOW! It snowed for just a bit the other day, but Sage took full advantage of going outside and playing in it. It's snowing again right now as I type this...hopefully it will "stick" around and be enough to acutally play in.

Hotel On The Corner Of Bitter And Sweet

I love historical fiction...this book falls under that category and also falls during my favorite time period...World War 2. It is the first book I have read about the Japanese Internment here in the Pacific Northwest during the war. I couldn't put this book down. It was a beautiful, heartbreaking story.

The Stuff That Never Happened

It was certainly better than the last book that I read, but nothing I would recommend. It was just your typical women's fiction. I am ready for something really good. Here's hoping that my next book will be great!

Outside Time

Our weather has been very mild the last couple of weeks, so Sage has been getting some outside time, which she loves. I also love it because it is usually Scott who takes her outside, so I get some alone time in the house. Gotta love that!

Pictures of You

Ok, so not so great. I finished it, but I wouldn't recommend it. It was fine enough, but very choppy and almost written in a child-like way. Now, on to the next book.....still haven't figured out what that is going to be.

Preschool

Sage goes to daycare 3 days a week. It is a wonderful home based daycare. They do some learning activities there, but I have felt like Sage needs some more advanced preschool learning type of stuff. So, Santa set us up with a desk and some fun workbooks. We do "preschool" on most of our days off. It is working out really well. Sage is learning to write her letters. We just finished little e and big E. She is really hard on herself. If she doesn't get something correct, she will say (in all seriousness) "I'm a loser". We are working on that :)
