Snow!

Yes, it's snowing and it's almost April. Lots of snow this morning, but so far none of it is sticking. And yes, she is in a nightie and flip flops. That's how we roll around here :)

Visiting

Scott's sister Stacy and her family came for a visit over the weekend. We had a great time with the kids. Went to this public farm here in town where they had an easter egg hunt for the kids.

This is Scott's brother in law and their little boy Reid.

Sage and Reid going through their baskets

Playing in the "Dinosaur Dig" box at the farm. They had things buried and the kids dug for them. They had such a blast. I got to use my new 28-75mm lens the whole day and I loved it. I really struggle with focus, and almost all my photos had great focus!

Cousins

Spent the day at Lithia Park with my nieces Tessa & Sadie. Had a terrific time. The weather was even warm enough for some wading in the creek. Sadie is spending the night with us tonight, so Sage is in heaven. They have been playing continuously for hours.

Three

Sage's birthday was such a perfect day. We started at McDonalds for lunch with our best friends, then on to the park to play. Then Sage and I headed to Teddy Bear Creations where she made a bulldog named Annabelle. We finished our day with Cold Stone Creamery. I have lots of photos, so I'll post more over the weekend. This weekend is going to be filled with fun times with Sage's cousins Tessa and Sadie.

More Hiking

Last weekend we hiked Roxy Anne Mtn which is about a 3 minute drive from our house. I've always been afraid to hike it before because there have been cougar siteings up there and I have an irrational fear of cougars. I decided to buck up and just do it.

The trail even allows dogs, so Riley joined us. He lives for this type of thing and just loved it.

Have to get all the burrs off of her pants.

The tears after a major fall (well, major in Sage's eyes). We weren't able to make it the top because the gate at the trailhead is closed at 5 pm and we didn't want our car to get locked in. We will try it again soon.

Birthday Party!

We decided to just have a small family party this year for Sage. Here she is with my parents and Scott's mom. This was outside the Chinese restaurant where we had a delicious lunch.

Playing with her new easel which was a HUGE hit!

Her new piggy bank, which she keeps asking for money for :)

Her birthday cake, which she picked out herself. She looked at pictures of all the different flavors online. She chose a white cake, strawberry mousse filling, and buttercream chocolate frosting. So yummy! For her real birthday on Thursday, she will be at daycare. I'll bring cupcakes, hats, and blowers for all the kids. Then after work, I'll take her to our local version of Build A Bear (thanks for the great idea Kendell). She has never been there and I can assure everyone....she will LOVE it. I can't wait to see her there. On Sunday, we hiked up Roxy Anne Mountain, which is super close to our house. I'll post pics later this week. My sisters kids are coming to visit this weekend, so that will bring lots of photo opportunities. Busy times, and we are loving the increased daylight hours.

My Sister

My sister came to visit. No husband, no kids. It was the first time in forever that we spent any quality time together. It was the longest period of time that she had ever spent with Sage. We had a great time. Sage adored her. There were lots of tears when she left. I think she will come and visit more often now.
