Rich Boy

I really enjoyed this book. It took me forever to read though because we finally got Smart Phones and I'm obsessed with playing scrabble with friends and strangers. It is addicting! That aside, this book was great. An easy, interesting read with a great story. Hopefully I will read my next book quicker. I'm going to start it tonight if I can put the phone down :)

Four!

Last Friday my baby girl turned 4! I can hardly believe it. We celebrated on Saturday night with a nice dinner with family. I made lemon cupcakes with homemade lemon buttercream frosting. They were so yummy! The hit of the party was the beanie babies that we got her. The child LOVES her beanie babies. She loves going to yard sales in search of them. I usually buy them off ebay for her in lots, so she got bunches of them! I used to laugh at the whole Beanie Baby craze. Wouldn't you know? Isn't that called Murphy's Law?

Weird Sisters

Okay, so a total dud. The Weird Sisters got such good user reviews on Amazon and in magazines like Entertaiment Weekly. Who is reviewing these books? It was so boring. The only reason I even made it through is because it was short (plus, I really hate giving up on a book). Hopefully my next choice will be better....

Party!

My girl is turning 4 this week and we celebrated her birthday last weekend with lots of friends. We had a fabulously fun gymnastics party at ABK. It was her first "friend" party and I was so happy with how it turned out. The Coach assigned to our party made it a truly unique and fun experience. All the kids were red faced from lots of activity by the time we made it to the party room for cake and a pinata.

I feel so lucky to have the friends that we do. I love that everyone came to celebrate with us. My friend Diane took the photos, which I can't thank her for enough.

Valentines

She signed her own Valentines Day cards this year. We've been working really hard on writing our letters. It is really different for me having to teach a lefty how to write. She is doing great though (I don't know how those of you that homeschool do it).

A Discovery Of Witches

Such a great book. I mean REALLY great book. This is my most favorite this year so far. It took me a while to finish (it is really long), but I did nothing but want to read for the last week. The ending is set up for a sequel, so hopefully that happens sooner rather than later. This is sort of like a DaVinci Code for witches, vampires, and demons. It is totally NOT the teenage angst of Twilight.
