Sun Bathing

You can't tell by looking at these photos, but Chloe can't stand the puppy. I've had to break up 2 fights. Chloe is a total bully. She always has been. However, Chloe is somewhat obsessed with sleeping near or next to Nala. As long as the puppy is quiet and sleeping, Chloe tolerates her. Nala was sleeping here first, and Chloe came up to her and made herself comfortable. It gives me hope that she will one day get used to her.

Introducing......

Nala!!!!

Meet our new Border Collie puppy, Nala. She is 9 weeks old. We adopted her at our local humane society. She came home Thursday, and she has been a marvelous addition to our family.

Our two older dogs, Chloe & Riley, are doing much better with the new addition than I expected. Nala is learning the ropes around the house and doing quite well. We've had very few potty accidents (thank God!). She did want to get up and play today at 5am! I was not too thrilled with that. Otherwise, things are going really well. Sage is thrilled to have her own puppy.

Little Leopard

Sage was a leopard for Halloween this year. Up until the week before, she wanted to be Jack Skellington, so I was thrilled when she changed her mind (& I didn't even have to persuade her). We did our trick or treating in the neighboorhoods around our house. She loved every minute of it!

Goodbye Sweet Girl

We said goodbye to our sweet & loyal companion of almost 15 years on Tuesday. I found Lucy when Scott and I had barely been married 2 years. I was a first year nursing student, living in a home that didn't allow pets. I didn't care. I took one look at her face (she had 1 blue eye and 1 brown eye) and knew WE were meant to be. She was my child for the many years I couldn't have my own child. She was that once in a lifetime dog that I think we all have. She will be forever missed.

Recent Reads

More JR Ward.....the best

Before Ever After was wonderful......Vivian read this! You would love it.

I'm really enjoying Cathy Lamb. This is the second book of hers that I have read recently. I cried my way through the end of this book. Her books are set in Oregon. This one was in Portland & Ashland.

Turn of Mind was fine enough, but not great.

Diamond Lake Day 4

Day 4, our last day at the lake. It included lots of popsicles and walking trips to the market. My dad had given each of the girls spending money, so they had to spend it, right?

Bumper boats.....

There were TONS of these little butterflies around

A really long walk with Sage, Sadie, Scott, and Lucy.

Sweet Lucy girl. She is so old (14) and the traveling and being out of her routine was tough on her, but overall, she did well. She loved being out and smelling all the different scents.

Feeding ducks of off our dock

Taking a little boat ride with my Dad

Brother in Law James

Sage & Boo Boo

My parents (Happy 40th!)

Another trip to the market for a lollipop

Me & my girl

An evening fire

A sunset kayak ride. Scott got swarmed by mosquitos during this ride

My sister, her family, and my mom

James, being silly

We went home the next day. We made some wonderful memories. Scott & I are planning on going back by ourselves for our anniversary next year.
