Mmmmm...Blake Shelton

Great concert at Britt last night. Blake Shelton!! We were so freaking close to the stage. In the above photo, Laurie and Kathy just turned around and he came up for a photo op. Laurie threw her camera at me, but it still had the lens cap on. By that time, I had overinduled on wine a bit much, so really this photo is a miracle. I was able to fumble that lens cap off, turn on her camera, and snap the pic!
Me and Kathy

We danced our butts off. Sang them off too. I need to cut back on the alcohol next time.....maybe not :)

This Is Big!

She loves the pool! This is huge for us because up to now, she has refused any and all attempts at swimming. That was not a good thing considering we have an inground pool. She is doing great with her waterwings and is even jumping in from the side of the pool. We have been swimming every day and even doing some fun night swimming. I'm finally using the pool too! Our pool time was interrupted this afternoon by a thunderstorm. Oh well, now we can just relax and hang out for the afternoon.

The LadyBug Whisperer

Sage is a little ladybug whisperer. Ever since she was a baby, she finds ladybugs everywhere. Here is the most recent find in our backyard. She loves to let them crawl all over her. She is amazingly gentle with them.

Time With Friends

Sage's friend Isaac spend the day with us yesterday. He stayed with us while the rest of his family went on a jet boat ride (Isaac is too little and too sensitive to go). Those two had such a great day playing. It was an all around hit!

Sage teaching Isaac ballet!
Running in the yard.

And tons and tons of water play. Those 2 were in the backyard for almost 4 hours straight. Scott put Sage's slide into the blow up pool and those two must have went down it a hundred times. I have never seen Sage enjoy water so much (she usually hates it!). My nieces also came over to swim in our big pool and for the fist time ever, Sage wanted to go in! She only lasted about 5 minutes, but she let her cousins carry her around in the pool. We are finally making progress!

Kayaks

Another miracle happened around here......Saturday at Lost Creek Lake, Sage asked Scott to take her out in the kayak! Last year, we couldn't even get her to put on a life jacket. They were out for about 30 minutes and she seemed to really like it. Scott recently won a contest at work and he won a real kayak. It is a one man kayak, and apparantly it is for me. I'm not a huge water person but I was willing to give it a a try. So today, we went to Fish Lake and kayaked around for a while. Me in the one person, Scott and Sage in the 2 person. We went for what seemed like a long time and I was feeling somewhat tired. We took a break on a beach and then we started out on our way back. Half way back to shore, I became so weak and tired. I could barely life the paddle. I had NO idea how tired kayaking could make me. At one point I screamed at Scott "Get me the "f" back to shore" (I didn't say "f" though, I said the real thing). There was nothing he could do to help me. My paddling was really ineffective because I was so tired and my kayak kept turning the wrong way. I powered up the strength to get back, but honestly, I'm not sure I'm loving that hobby. My dad is buying a crazy nice boat that we can use at the lakes to fish in and pull tubes behind. That is WAY more my speed.
